Low Level Laser Therapy for healthy skin
How the Wellay @home Personal Skin Laser treats skin problems
The Wellay @home Personal Skin Laser produces high-tech, coherent red and infrared laser light which stimulates mitochondrial activity in the skin cells to promote ATP synthesis (adenosine triphosphate).
Adenosine triphosphate helps in increasing the protein synthesis within the cells, energises the cells and optimises their important role in the healing process of the body.
Research studies have shown that enzymes in the cells can easily absorb the energy that is being emitted by the low level laser light. The cell membrane absorbed the infrared light while the mitochondria absorbed the red laser light. This absorption promotes the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate) and it is this higher level of ATP that promotes healthy cells.
The energised, healthy cells increase their production of collagen which is largely responsible for skin strength and elasticity, strengthens blood vessels and plays a role in tissue development which helps to speed up the healing process. It also helps prevent the formation of scar tissue.

The Wellay @home Personal Skin Laser was developed jointly with the Medical Laser and Device Research Center of Dankook University, Korea which is a leading contributor to the development of high-tech medical equipment, focusing on research in advanced laser treatments for clinical applications.
The Wellay @home Personal Skin Laser is patented as the World's first multi-wavelength therapeutic laser.
Remarkable results with VCSEL laser technology
Wellay @home Personal Skin and Hair Lasers use state of the art VCSELs (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser). VCSELs are ideal for portable hand-held therapeutic products due to their exceptionally low power consumption and small size.
Each Wellay @home Skin Laser uses 12 VCSELS at 4 different wavelengths, (670, 780, 830, 910nm), that promote collagen production while maintaining laser safety and the convenience of long-lasting battery life.
Each Wellay @home Hair Laser uses 21 low power multi-wavelength lasers which penetrate deep into the scalp to effectively activate blood circulation around the hair follicles, halting hair loss and stimulating new growth.
4 different wavelengths to penetrate the different skin tissue layers
In general, laser treatment is affected by skin tissue types, skin condition and disease condition among other things. The different factors affecting the results of laser therapy lie in different layers of skin tissue and explain why multi-wavelength treatment really matters.
Laser light has different penetration depths into the skin depending on the wavelength of the laser. Various wavelengths reach and treat the different layers of skin tissue. Using multi-wavelength lasers simultaneously is a more effective treatment than just using a single wavelength laser.
When the 4 different wavelengths (670, 780, 830, 910nm) of a Wellay Personal Skin Laser penetrate the same area of skin, each wavelength is absorbed into different layers of skin tissue, treating the skin condition in each layer and helping to promote collagen synthesis whilst rejuvenating your skin. The multi-wavelength Wellay @home Skin Laser is the most scientific therapeutic treatment device for your skin.

Application of 830nm and 910nm lasers for deepest penetration into skin
Most of the power of the lasers is absorbed into water, haemoglobin, and melanin in the skin tissue. In other words, the power is lost before reaching deep into the skin and fails to deliver any treatment effect. However, 830nm and 910nm wavelength lasers penetrate further than any other wavelength laser into the hypodermis, with minimal absorption by haemoglobin or moisture.
Until Wellay patented the multi-wavelength Skin Laser, 830nm and 910nm VCSELs had never been used as therapeutic treatment lasers to promote collagen generation deep in the skin.
Safe laser therapy using powerful lasers
Important variables such as the wavelength, power and density of the laser determine the effectiveness of laser therapy. Compared to other therapeutic lasers, the Wellay Personal Skin Laser uses more powerful lasers - the 830nm laser, in particular, emits 12mW power for powerful penetration deep into skin tissue. This does not cause heat damage to the tissues - safety is never compromised because it is within the low level laser range and low level laser therapy helps speed up the healing process.
